Polyurea Coatings

Polyurea Coatings

BLAST MITIGATION

Armorblast 1:1 Pure Polyurea

  • Superior elongation properties, tensile and tear strength; material simultaneously mitigates the concussive force of a blast and holds together the materials of a coated substrate; adapts very well to multiple substrates
  • Sprayed on armored vehicles, concrete block and other structures

Ultrablast 1:1 Pure Polyurea

  • Used around a core of impact absorbing polyurethane foam to provide personnel protection for military transport or other blast-susceptible environments such as industrial transport or manufacturing

All products require professionally trained applicators

Tank Area Coating

Concrete is porous despite its solid look. Even though it can be a very strong substrate, bare concrete can be very porous which makes it particularly susceptible to cracking, chipping or flaking during freeze-thaw cycles and ground shift. The paste and aggregate can also be worn down by physical impact and abrasion. Water can penetrate concrete and if the concrete has reinforcing steel bar (rebar), the rebar can corrode if moisture, oxygen and chloride ions penetrate the concrete. Corrosion of rebar contributes to the deterioration of concrete. Occasionally, damage starts with a poor new project set up. Our products seal to repair damage and protect new concrete for residential, industrial and commercial applications.

Concrete Applications:

  • Roof Decks, Parapet walls and Gutters
  • Retaining Walls
  • Roof Gutters
  • Concrete tanks
  • Fountains and water features
  • Residential and Commercial floorings
  • Warehouse floors
  • Concrete slabs and Balconies

How to Repair, Waterproof, Decorate Water Features and other Landscaping

Water Features

If you are concerned about the deterioration of water features built into landscaping, Polymer coatings provide several benefits such as:

*Forming a leak proof membrane

*protecting against corrosive chemicals

*Adding unique design elements

Concrete or plastic lined water basins such as ponds and fountains are particularly susceptible to deterioration with the use of chlorine and other cleaning agents. Change in weather causes it to expand and contracts resulting in cracks and leaks. Even rain water flowing through  a tunnel will eventually erode concrete and stone.

When applied to containment tanks, the leak proof barrier prevents oil and hazardous chemicals from causing substantial damages and clean-up costs. Our industrial polyurethane and polyurea products safeguard people, the environment and your investments.

Industrial Applications include:

  • Coating of Pipes
  • Primary and secondary containment
  • Oil and gas processing sites
  • Heavy duty machines
  • Warehouse floors
  • Chemical containment
  • Fuel and oil containment

spraying-foam-insulation

ArmorFoam professional spray foam insulation strengthens walls and roofs to extend the life of a structure and defend against windstorms and water damage. It is specifically designed for new structures. However, this industrial spray foam insulation also works well for sealing existing foundations, pipes, attic ceilings and walls, and the underside of flooring accessed from unfinished basements and crawl spaces.

Coated Wall Straight onArmorBlast and UltraBlast, two of our blast mitigation coatings, may not be blast proof but they can significantly reduce casualties and property damage from hostile explosive attacks compared to non-coated surfaces. These sprayed-on polyurea coatings were specifically developed to survive massive pressure, such as explosion, when applied to concrete or metal structures. The ballistic protection coatings are suitable for armored vehicles and high profile buildings and offers proven blast mitigation benefits.

ArmorBlast and UltraBlast are developed from a two-component 100% solid polyurea. They can be sprayed at a wide range of temperatures from 18°F to 150°F. Temperature exposure ranges from -40°F to 350°F with high tear-tensile strength and chemical and water resistance. In addition to CMU structures, they can be sprayed on other substrates such as metal, concrete and foam blast mats. These seamless, waterproof coatings have no VOC’s or solvents
